Young Men In Harmony
Programs

The Barbershop Harmony Society provides a rainbow of programs for young men to experience the joys of singing, in general, using barbershop harmony as the epitome of masculine vocal art. There are local, regional, district and international programs to satisfy the needs and desires of young men in middle/junior/senior high school or college and anyone under 30. These include school programs by the local chapters, regional festivals, camps and local clinics, district high school quartet contests, and International Collegiate Barbershop Quartet contest, Youth Chorus contest, and Harmony University modules geared to youth, like the Next Generation Chorus track.

Programs include:

Barbershop Coaching

We are making free music and coaching available to any group that wants to form a quartet or ensemble. We will come to a school during or after school, or to a parent's house and provide craft sessions on your schedule. Contact the Youth In Harmony Coordinator .

We are offering summer programs for all schools.
• Coaches teach quartets or small ensembles several pieces to be sung in a larger group at the Real Men Sing Clinic and Show in the Fall (see below) as well as signature pieces to be sung by the individual group. And sing some TAGS: Barbershop Song - Lonesome Rose - Mickey Mouse
• Coaching sessions are once a week for 2 hours in the evening throughout the summer. Exemptions for family vacations and camps are expected.
• The dates and times of weekly coaching will be determined by the individual groups and the coach, in a location accessible to the students.
• These programs are tailored to the needs of the vocal teacher, as well as the students. Graduating seniors are included and welcome.

You can also join us at Pacific Coast Harmony rehearsals on Tuesday evenings at 7 PM - no obligation to join. We'll provide craft sessions during the evening, as well as singing with the men's chorus. Let us know you're coming. Contact the Youth In Harmony Coordinator .
